Cordierite Mullite Saggers (CM Saggers or Crucibles or Saggars), commonly referred to as CML Saggers, are ceramic containers commonly used in high temperature applications. Cordierite and mullite refractories, both known for their excellent thermal shock resistance and high temperature stability, combine to form cordierite mullite saggars that can be found widely used across industries including ceramics, metallurgy and powder processing. These containers are designed to withstand extreme temperatures and offer materials a safe environment during firing or heat treatment processes. Their thermal stability allows them to withstand temperatures as high as 1700degC (3092degF). Cordierite mullite saggars feature low thermal expansion coefficients, which enable them to withstand rapid temperature changes without cracking or breaking.
Cordierite mullite saggars are commonly used for firing ceramics, sintering powders, heat treating metals and other high-temperature processes requiring careful protection of materials being processed. Overall, these containers provide reliable solutions that offer thermal stability, chemical resistance, mechanical strength protection for materials being handled.
